What Defines A Real Woman?
I am unashamedly feminine and very feminist. I beg to differ from the hard line approach but I won’t hesitate to voice my discontent with being treated with less respect than i deserve. Of course, feminists rant about respect and all that so it is easy to shake your head and say
“uh-oh, here they come. Another one yet!”.
She – A SAN?
The privileges of being a member of the bar is one that I am looking forward to. Imagine the shivers running down the spines of some people at the prospect of getting as much as a glance from Umari “the law” (did I hear you snicker?). It is funny how you become an elevated member of the society the moment you mention your profession as a lawyer.
Jungle Justice And The Rule Of Law
The peculiarity of the Nigerian nation cannot be over emphasized. It is true that we are the most populous black nation in the world, it is true that we are abundantly blessed in material and people resources and it is also very true that we have been cursed with very incompetent and visionless leadership ( if I am allowed the expression) right from independence.
Ironically this is the same nation that has produced human right activists, a Nobel Prize winner, renowned legal luminaries and writers, scientific ground breakers and the like.
Independent Woman
I have made a decision, if I am given a second chance at life, I want to be a woman again. Every morning I look at myself in the mirror and realize that I would not trade for the world the shock on the faces of my hapless male victims as I sweep them with the torrents of my intellect and my razor sharp tongue and it does not help that I am the ultra feminine type who loves make up and feminine vanities.
African Women – On The Other Side Of The Divide
The society has for long carved an uncomfortable and seemingly incontestable niche for its women, strategically placing them behind the broad shoulders of their husbands and the result of this is the unfortunate absorption of a misconception by upcoming generation of young women that their roles are within the confines of their husbands’ foot prints.
